Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and Vuelta a Espana are amongst the most popular grand tours there are and continue to gain prominence year after year. Whether you are a competitive cyclist or enjoy a bike ride every now and again, there is no denying just how much fun cycling can be. Luckily for us, we owe cycling to Baron Karl von Drais, who was amongst the first to have ever created a bicycle. With cycling being around for well over 200 years, let’s see how well you can do on this cycling quiz!

Lance Armstrong was one of the most decorated cyclists in history with a whopping 7 Tour de France title wins, however, in 2012, all titles were completely stripped and taken away, and Armstrong was banned for life from cycling after the U.S Anti-Doping Agency rules he used illegal performance-enhancing drugs. This was a major shock to the world of sports, especially to cyclists across the globe, marking one of the biggest cyclist scandals to date.

Beta vulgaris. That's what chard is. Would you want to eat beta vulgaris? More importantly, would you want to answer quiz questions by a person whose chosen name (chardemagne) is a portmanteau of Charlemagne and Chard? Well, it turns out that vulgaris actually means "common" not "disgusting", in the original Latin. One wonders if chard was the second most common greenery available? But let's talk about Charlemagne instead, because rather than being vulgar or common, Charlemagne was an emperor, a medieval one, and a benevolent one. That's pretty impressive.
