Cow Poop
Ice hockey has become one of the most popular winter sports that originate back to the late 1800s. Although we have come a long way when it comes to equipment, some of the first players had to settle for some less than favorable substitutions. While the modern-day hockey puck serves as a wonderful tool, earlier players resorted to using frozen patties made of cow poop. Considering ice hockey took place in the North, keeping pucks nice and cold were of no issue!
