With over ten years on our TV screens, Modern Family is a family sitcom that has been incredibly popular for ABC. The show followed Jay and his family who live in the suburbs, and all the crazy family members that are introduced over the seasons. Modern Family has an amazing ensemble cast, including actors Sofia Vergara, Sarah Hyland, Ed O’Neill, Ty Burrell, and Julie Bowen. The show has won many awards over the year including a Golden Globe and Emmy Awards. Today we are going to test how well you’ve been paying attention to this hilarious show!
Unique Filming Style
Have you ever wondered about the show’s unique filming style? Modern Family was initially conceived to be a documentary-style show. They had a character originally called Geert Floorjte, who was a Dutch filmmaker who lived with the Pritchett’s many years ago as a teen exchange student. He returned to the United States as an adult to become a filmmaker. However, before the show entered production, they cut the character or Geert, as they show’s creators decided he was unnecessary. However, the documentary style of filming remained with the characters looking at the camera during various parts of filming.
