Race car driving has become such a phenomenon there are competitions held worldwide across the globe including Grand Prix, NASCAR, and Formula 1, all of which have skyrocketed big names such as Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna to international fame and success. The first-ever car race can be dated back to the 1800s and it has certainly come along way since. Considering the sport has been around for over 120 years, let’s test out your race car knowledge!
Dangerous
The world’s best race car drivers, which include big names such as Michael Schumacher, Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty, and Lewis Hamilton have been part of the sport for quite some time, however, fans tend to forget how dangerous a sport it is. Most NASCAR race cars weigh no less than 3,500 pounds and can go as fast as 200 miles per hour, which when put in perspective, can cover half of a football field in just one second. They certainly mean business!
