While American owned companies reigned throughout the decade, there was one British supercar that absolutely stole the show in the United States, and that was none that then the Jaguar XJ200. The XJ200 took most by surprise when it debuted in 1992, and while many people may not associate Jaguar with supercars, this model certainly proved otherwise, becoming a hot commodity throughout the entire decade.

Beta vulgaris. That's what chard is. Would you want to eat beta vulgaris? Well, it turns out that vulgaris actually means "common" not "disgusting", in the original Latin. One wonders if chard was the second most common greenery available? But let's talk about Charlemagne instead, because rather than being vulgar or common, Charlemagne was an emperor, a medieval one, and a benevolent one. That's pretty impressive.
