What is the required certification to teach at Hogwarts?
One could assume that there is no specific education or training to become a Hogwarts professor. That sheer skill and knowledge from attending the school would suffice. However, along with magical skills and talent, it is required that hold an O.W.L. and a N.E.W.T. in the subject. There have been situations where the Headmaster/Headmistress will make an exception such as when Albus Dumbledore gave Rubeus Hagrid the opportunity to teach even though he did not sit in on the O.W.L.
