Protein Provider

Meat provides more protein per serving than many other options. In a three-ounce serving of lean beef, you’ll receive 25 grams of protein. This can be compared to raw tofu, which you’d need to eat one and a half cups of or black beans, where you’d need to consume three and a half cups. To get the same amount of protein with peanut butter, you’d need a whopping 7 tablespoons, which is 670 calories!

Why is my profile picture a carrot? Hint 1: it's about my favorite music. Hint 2: it's about the suffering of the vegetables. Hint 3: the band in question has some pretty foul lyrics sometimes. Hint 4: don't be a tool. The cries of the carrots! Actually, the song is called Disgustipated by the band Tool. In it, Maynard James Keenan's *landlord* is heard discussing the plight of the carrots during Thanksgiving. Clearly, I am obsessed with useless trivia. :)
